Maze Walker

A brief about what Maze Walker is:

MazeWalker is a top-down-view style puzzle game that was created for the UDC Game Jam. The theme of the Game Jam was “On/Off”.

The goal of the game is that player has to escape the randomly generated maze by finding the exit portal while avoiding fire from the turrets by turning his shield on & off. Switches scattered throughout the maze allow players to disable (turn off) specific turrets.

The game was created by 4 people:

  • Akashdeep Mathur - Game Designer, Sound Designer

  • BLANK#0659 (Discord) - Programmer, Game Designer, UI

  • Pulakeshi Salunkhe - 2D Artist

  • Sachit Nanajkar (ZEROME#7146 (Discord)) - Programmer, 3D Modelling (Modelled using Unity primitive shapes)

My responsibilities as a game designer was to communicate with the programmers and create a well structed game flow that the users will experience.

I was also responsible for some of the sound effects, namely the shield opening and the bullets hitting the shield.
